Identification
Width: 3.4 mm
Height: 11.5 mm
The shell of this species is elongate and glossy, with whorls of the spire being convex (Pilsbry, 1946). It is generally larger than A. clavulinum.
Ecology
This tropical species lives in the leaf litter, grazing upon algae, fungi, or detritus (Willig et al., 2013).
Taxonomy
Also known as Lamellaxis mauritianus (Pilsbry, 1946).
Distribution
This species has been collected in Buffalo, NY, New York City, and Philadelphia, PA.
